Our Places
Visit the places of KPD Bratska sloga and discover the cultural heritage of Žrnovo and Postrana on the island of Korčula.
Practical Information
Pijaca
A spacious stone square at the northern entrance to Postrana, where the Moštra sword dance is traditionally performed. It lies in front of St. Rok church, built in 1873.
In the center of the square is a polygonal floor pattern from the 1950s that serves as a circular guide for Moštra performers. Two large stone pine trees once stood in front of the church, planted in the mid-17th century.
Pijaca is the center of cultural life in Postrana — during the summer months it hosts folklore evenings, performances by the Divne women's choir and the Moštra sword dance.

Theater in Pavuleta
A theatre stage in an old stone house — a venue for performances, tribunes, workshops and cultural gatherings.
Theatre in Pavuleta is a space where tradition and contemporary cultural creation meet. The stone walls give a special atmosphere to dramatic performances, poetry readings and musical acts.
Throughout the year the theatre hosts performances, literary evenings, art exhibitions and workshops for children and adults.

Pavao Šain Ethnographic Collection
An authentic collection in an old stone house in Postrana — agricultural, fishing and blacksmith tools, traditional costumes and household items from Korčula island.
KPD Bratska sloga took over the care of the collection in agreement with Pavao Šain and his family, prompted by the Korčula Town Museum. The collection includes items that testify to the everyday life of the people of Postrana and Žrnovo — from olive grove and vineyard tools, through fishing nets and hooks, to blacksmith products and traditional costumes.
Visiting the collection provides insight into the material culture of the Korčula village and life skills passed down from generation to generation.
